By the end of the third week of the 2004 season, the Chiefs had already equaled their number of losses in 2003. The defense still has the tendency to give up big plays, and the receiving corps is still weak. The Chiefs faithful now hold out hope that KC can recover like both Philadelphia and New England did last season after rocky starts. With Holmes running the way he has started the season and the always dangerous Tony Gonzalez and Dante Hall, at Green’s disposal, expect the Chiefs to leave the AFC West cellar sooner rather than later.
